Abstract
Este artículo aborda un análisis de la nueva regulación jurídica operada tras la reforma del delito de maltrato y abandono animal que ha sufrido el Código Penal, con estudio comparativo de la regulación anterior, así como la adecuación y encaje tanto en vía penal como civil. Así mismo, se analizan las novedades, avances y deficiencias de la nueva regulación jurídica del código penal y el impacto jurídico que tiene sobre la protección del bien jurídico protegido.
This article addresses an analysis of the new legal regulation implemented after the reform of the crime of animal abuse and abandonment that the Penal Code has undergone, with a comparative study of the previous regulation, as well as the adaptation and fit in both criminal and civil law. Likewise, the novelties, advances and deficiencies of the new legal regulation of the criminal code and the legal impact it has on the protection of the protected legal asset are analysed.
