Description
Abstract
conflicto.
César González-Ruano (1903-1965), like so many other Spanish writers, struggled all his life to reconcile the conflict between a deeply felt vocation and his University studies, towards which he was pushed by family pressures. In his case, a steady propensity to the literary fact had to compete with Law studies in the class rooms and after in the labour world. The present article proposes to examine, using the writer’s reflections, his personal experience of this repeated conflict.
