Abstract
Esta investigación es un intento inicial de conocer problemas que aquejan al personal
directivo de los centros escolares de enseñanza básica y sus creencias sobre lo que debería
ser la función directiva. Mediante el análisis factorial y el análisis de tablas de contingencia
-aplicados a los datos obtenidos mediante un cuestionario pasado a 244 sujetos que
ocupan cargos directivos y un inventario tipo Lickert, respectivamente- se han identificado
diez factores relacionados con la formación de cargos directivos y se han agrupado en
torno a ocho variables (con asociación significativa) los problemas más relevantes de la
función directiva.
This research is an initial intent to know the problems of leaders in the primary schools, and their beliefs about what managerial function would be. Through factorial analysis and analysis of contingency tables -which were applied at data got from 244 subjects taking up managerial posts, using a questionnaire and a Lickert scale, respectively -, ten factors regarding leader education have been iden tified, and the problems more outstanding of the managerial function have been groupped around eight variables (with meaningful partnership).
