Subjects were enrolled in a four-year teacher education program (n = 429) in the province of Quebec (Canada).Our starting hypothesis was that the distance education, Web-based course put in place, with its nature promoting self-determination, feelings of competence and affiliation, would have a positive impact on the motivation of the prospective teachers.The results presented are drawn from both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. They highlight how, after a few weeks, prospective teachers’ motivation is eventually favored by this technologically-rich teaching environment.

This article intends to show how the web 2.0 or social web beyond being a powerful innovation in the teaching field, has caused some significant effects in the way students learn. The resources of the web 2.0 for the teaching of foreign languages -such as wikis, blogs, Google Docs and others- promote an educational commitment that goes beyond the simple informative use of the web like it has been up to now and emphasizes collaborative aspects with a responsibility shared among all the users. This article begins by indicating briefly the changes that have happened between the traditional web and the social one. Later, it focuses on several tools and programs of the social web and finally, it suggests several lines of study around the social web.

The spread of viewing interactive multimedia educational materials in virtual campus environment is one of the proposals. The use of free software and formats open coding ensures the preservation of cultural heritage which public institutions as depositories and custodians. The maturity of the specifications of multimedia semantics metadata as MPEG-7 and transactional organizational framework of digital objects such as MPEG- 21 provides the coverage needed for implementation. Project of modernization in both teaching their arguments are in line with corporate strategic objectives, in language relevant to the IT governance of public institutions. The project outlined is intended as a prototype assembly of standardized components under open specifications. The basic objective is thus the provision of functional adaptation to the requirements of educational planning.

Gabriel; Guillermo y Guillermo, CeciliaThe use of the information technologies and the communication (Tic) in the different levels and educational systems have a significant impact in the development of the learning of the students and in the strengthening of their competences for the life and the work that will favor their insertion in the company of the knowledge. In this work investigates the use of the tics, in the basic education of youths and adults through the Model of Education for the Life and the Work (MEVyT) in its virtual modalities and in linea in urban and rural communities of the State of Yucatan. The results of this study document the opinion of the adult and young people (PJA) with regard to their abilities for the use of the tic' s, their opinion about the two modalities, and the difficulties that face as the users. The results are discussed under the Sectorial Program of Education 2007-2012 of Mexico.
