Objective: To identify advances and setbacks in measles vaccination coverage in children in Latin America. Material andMethod:This is a scoping review carried out in the PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO, BVS and EMBASE databases in February 2025. Full articles, without a time frame, were included in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results: 11 studies were selected to compose the final sample. The A10 research indicates that the rate found in the vaccination programs of Latin American countries in the period from 2000 to 2015 presented coverage values of 91.1% for measles. Another A11 mentions the coverage rate in 9 countries of the Americas (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela) the coverage of the first dose against measles ranged between 87% and 97% between 2006 and 2016. This research indicates that measles vaccination coverage in Latin American countries has varied in recent decades. Conclusion:The data presented show that there are success stories in the implementation of measures to increase vaccination coverage, but there is also a need to advance in several aspects, including the political, economic, and seek to strengthen public policies that prioritize the prevention of diseases through the supply of immunobiologicals to the population. and the intensification of immunization programmes either at the local or national level

ntroduction:Research in nursing is paramount for the advancement of healthcare quality and evidence-based practice; however, its developmental trajectory is fraught with challenges. This study endeavors to conduct an analysis aimed at delineating the extant state of nursing research. Objective: Analyze the key elements reported in the scientific literature that contribute to strengthening nursing research.Methodology:A qualitative synthesis of the literature, incorporating bibliometric analysis of 666 Scopus documents, was performed. VosViewer was utilized to generate citation and co-citation maps, revealing key stakeholders, primary themes, and collaborative patterns. Subsequent qualitative analysis adhered to PRISMA guidelines. Results: Since 2000, publications in nursing research have demonstrated consistent growth, reaching a zenith in 2017. The United States and the United Kingdom exhibit the highest levels of productivity and impact. The study identifies three fundamental components of a nursing research ecosystem: competencies, capacities, and existing barriers.Discussion: The findings underscore the significance of organizational support, mentorship, and transformational leadership in cultivating a research-oriented culture. Limitations in available resources and the effective integration of research with clinical practice were also identified as pertinent issues. Conclusions:The cultivation of research capabilities within the nursing profession necessitates the implementation of institutional policies that prioritize formal training, mentorship provision, and the allocation of protected time dedicated to research activities. Such measures will contribute to the mitigation of existing impediments and the fortification of scientific evidence generation. It is recommended that future inquiries explore pedagogical and organizational strategies aimed at addressing these identified needs

Introduction: In Indonesia, approximately 30% of older adults with dementia are treated by family caregivers. These caregivers require supportive dementia care services to provide effective care. However, research on family caregivers’ expectations regarding dementia care services that facilitate optimal caregiving remains limited. Objective: This study aimed to explore the needs of family caregivers concerning dementia care services in Indonesia. Methods: This qualitative study employed a descriptive phenomenological approach using semi-structured interviews. Data were collected from purposively selected family caregivers who provide care to older adults with dementia (n=15). The data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s method to identify themes. Results: Three themes were developed from the data, reflecting the expectations of family caregivers regarding dementia care services in Indonesia. Family caregivers expressed a need for health programs that enhance their knowledge and skills in caring for older adults with dementia. However, they also reported limited dementia care services in the community. Conclusion: Dementia care services in Indonesia are not yet adequately prepared to meet the challenges of dementia care. These findings underscore the need to develop comprehensive dementia care services that support family caregivers, thereby improving the quality of care for older adults with dementia.

(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Morales Rojas, Marco Esteban; Canché Guzmán, Luis Enrique; Cohuo Cob, Sheila Mariela; Aké Canul, Didier Francisco; Balam Gómez, Maricela; Sin departamento asociado
Introduction:Incorrect and excessive storage of antibiotics is a behavior observed in communities, and it is a main factor that leads to self-medication. In addition to clinical factors, Antimicrobial Resistance has become a main problem worldwide. Digital interventions provide cost-effective solutions to promote healthy behaviors, coupled with the practicality of instant messaging and the use of a behavior change model, allowing to increase the probability of success. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of a digital intervention to reduce risky practices in home antibiotic storage in an urban community in Mexico.Material and methods: An intervention study with a quantitative approach, descriptive, longitudinal, and quasi-experimental scope, carried out with 35 families in their homes through the instant messaging type "WhatsApp". The RiALMeH instrument was applied to later follow an intervention with materials and activities from home and apply it again to check changes. Results: Before the intervention, the average was 19.8 points, participation was 100% in at least one of the activities and only 7 families did not carry out the final activity. After the intervention, the average score obtained in RiALMeH was 16.1, obtaining a significant result in the change, after 7 weeks of study. Conclusion:The digital intervention was significant in achieving a change in family behavior, observations are made to the materials according to the doubts expressed

(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Godoy Pozo, Jessica; Illesca Pretty, Mónica; Barallat Gimeno, Eva; Botigué, Teresa; Sin departamento asociado
ntroduction: The curriculum for the Nursing Degree Programme at the Austral University of Chile (UACh) has been redesigned with a competency-based approach. Objective: To explore the perceptions of Nursing faculty at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) regarding the implementation of the educational model centered on competency-based learning.Materials and methods: A qualitative descriptive study with a phenomenological approach, using an intrinsic case design and purposive theoretical sampling. Eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with Nursing faculty. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The research was approved by the Scientific Ethics Committee Servicio de Salud Valdivia (Chile). Results: A central theme emerged: faculty perceptions regarding the implementation of the institutional educational model, which includes two categories with their subcategories. The first, "institutional educational model," describes conceptions regarding principles, requirements for its implementation, and faculty attitudes. The second, "development of generic competencies and institutional seal," highlights generic competencies and institutional seals, factors that facilitate and hinder their development. Conclusion:Teaching staff demonstrate a high level of ownership of the MECEA (Mechanical Education and Training Model); however, they require training and support to optimize its application. The development of generic competencies is closely linked to factors such as the characteristics of teachers and students, the use of active methodologies, the conditions of clinical fields, and institutional aspects such as academic management, infrastructure, and human resources.
