    El armamento de época iberorromana de Libisosa (Lezuza, Albacete). Un conjunto excepcional

    Current archaeological excavations at the ancient city of Libisosa (Lezuza, Albacete, South-Eastern Spain) have yielded‒and still do‒a large number of weapons. These belong mostly to two different periods: the period of the stabilization of the Roman Conquest in the third quarter of the second century BC and the Sertorian Wars (c. 75 BC). This assemblage is most relevant due to its size, good state of preservation, typological variety (a good sample of offensive and defensive weapons and horse tack), and its precise, urban archaeological context. For this period, both “Late Iron Age Iberian” or “Republican Roman” according to perspective, the weapons from Libisosa are one of the most important assemblages in the Peninsula, in a level with those from Numantia, Caminreal or Osuna.

    La moneda sardo-púnica de la serie VI en el noreste peninsular: una interpretación militar.

    La presencia de monedas de la serie VI sardo-púnica en contextos militares relacionados con la Segunda Guerra Púnica nos llevan a analizar la circulación de esta moneda en todo el territorio peninsular. Mediante el análisis de los patrones de distribución y la comparativa con otros conjuntos monetales del conflicto, establecemos una relación entre la presencia de estas piezas y la logística del ejército romano republicano.
