Servicio de Publicaciones, 2006-01-01) Suárez Yáñez, AndrésIn this action research a programme aimed at improving the written composition of argumentative texts of a group of Psycho-pedagogy students was designed, implemented and evaluated. This action was decided once a series of difficulties had been spotted in their written exams and assignments, subsequently also to a reflection about themes considered pertinent. The programme resulted in the metacognitive development sought, and probably also in the improvement of argumentative text composition and comprehension. The study concludes with a reflection on this first cycle of action and suggested innovations for the following cycle.
