- PublicationOpen AccessAnalytical study of the economic effects of sports for seniors in Iran(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Moazen Ahmadi, Lida; Fahim Devin, Hassan; Mirzazadeh, Zahrasadat; Peymanizad, HosseinThe aim of this study was to analyze the economic effects of elderly sports in Iran. The present study was qualitative. The research is based on grounded theory applying the emerging method attributed to Glaser (1992). Professors, of sports management, sociology, psychology, municipal managers and researchers (with at least two scientific research articles in the field of research) constituted the population of the current study. Since the purpose of qualitative sampling is information saturation, the combined theoretical sampling method of the improbably purposeful type was used until the theoretical saturation was achieved. A total of 15 participants were recruited as sample for the present study. Acceptability, transferability and verifiability indices were used to determine validity. In order to evaluate the reliability of the interviews, the method of intra-subject agreement of two coders (evaluators) was used. Findings of the present study revealed that the mean age of the research participants was 48 years. Out of all, 75% participants were males. The average career background of the participants was 22.5 years and 80% of them held a Ph.D. degree. The results showed that the economic effects of elderly sports were divided into two categories: micro and macro. The macro level consisted of the two concepts of increasing GDP (5 signs) and private sector investment (3 signs). The micro level consisted of the two concepts of quantitative and qualitative improvement of production inputs (6 signs) and reduction of treatment costs (8 signs).

M.Background: Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is one of the most common causes of medical consultationin the orthopedic clinics. LDH is believed to be the root cause of 60-80 percent of low back pain cases over a lifetime. Objective: The current study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different dissimilar manual therapy techniques (Mulligan’s spinal mobilization with leg movement versus McKenzie technique) in patients with lumbar disc herniation.Design: The present study is a randomized control trial in which 45 individuals diagnosed with LDH were recruited as the participants of the study (mean age 48.54 ± 5.8 years). The participants were randomly allocated into three groups, with n=15 in each group. Intervention:Participants of the group A (Experimental group A) received Mulligan spinal mobilization with leg movement and T.E.N.S. (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation). Group B (Experimental group B) participants received McKenzietechnique. Group C (control group) participants only received T.E.N.S. for four weeks. All patients in the three groups received 3 sessions each week. Pain, functional disability, and the H reflex were the primary outcome measures. The visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to assess pain, the Oswestry disability scale was used to assess functional disability, and electromyography was used to assess the H reflex. Results: Significant improvements were seen in the participants of group A, with reduction in the intensity and severity of pain, decreased level of functional disability and improvement in the H reflex, in comparison with other groups. Conclusion: Spinal mobilization with leg movement was more effective than McKenzietechniqueand TENS to reduce pain and functional disability, and to improve the H reflex, in individuals suffering from lumbar disc herniation
- PublicationOpen AccessAnalysis of the training of 17-18-year-old male powerlifters with cerebral palsy(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Georgievich, Maksimenko Igor; Wahhab Khalaf Al-Soub, Mutasem Abdel; Georgy Nikolaevich, MaksimenkоThe present study had a pedagogical experiment design. The participants of the study were 17-18-year-old male powerlifters with cerebral palsy. The participants were selected and allocated into two groups: Group A and Group B. Both the groups were homogenous in terms of physical and mental state of training. Pre-test and post tests were conducted for physical qualities and mental states of the participants. During the annual experiment, powerlifters in groups А and B performed different training programs with various ratios of specific and non-specific loads. In group A, the ratio was 60% - 40%, while in group B was 70% - 30%. Upon completing the annual experiment, a better (р<0.05) level of physical qualities (speed, speed-strength and static endurance) and mental state of training (neuropsychic resistance, success motivation and motivation to avoid failures) was identified in participants of group A. Therefore, we recommend to use specific and non-specific loads in a ratio of 60% - 40% when training 17-18-year-old male powerlifters with cerebral palsy.

- PublicationOpen AccessEffect of psychological empowerment on human resource management with the mediating role of emotional engagement in employees of selected sport federations(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Khodadad Kashi, Sholeh; Saatchian, VahidThe purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of psychological empowerment on human resource retention in selected sports federations, with the role of emotional commitment as a mediating factor. A cross-sectional study was carried out. The statistical population of the study (270 employees) was all official staff of five selected federations (wrestling, volleyball, taekwondo, soccer and swimming). Based on the Morgan table, 175 individuals were selected as the statistical sample. In order to assess the studied variables, Spritzer's psychological empowerment questionnaire (1995), Allen and Meyer Commitment Measurement Questionnaire (1991), and Kaident’s staff retention questionnaire (2009) were used. The reliability of the questionnaires was 0.89, 0.87, and 0.84, respectively. In order to analyze the data, descriptive and inferential statistics (Kolmogorov Smirnov, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Path Analysis Model) were used. The results showed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between psychological empowerment and human resources maintenance (0.56). Emotional commitment with an impact factor of 0.35 plays a mediating role in relation to psychological empowerment in human resource retention. Therefore, the officials of sports federations can improve the maintenance of human resources by establishing a complete and desirable psychological empowerment and paying attention to the concept of emotional intelligence at the organization level.
