dc.description.abstract	El estudio de las cofradías durante la Edad Moderna en la Monarquía hispánica ha sido un tema historiográfico con idas y vueltas. En el mundo peninsular toda la producción científica ha ido ligada, casi indisolublemente, a ejercicios de “historia local” y por ello, en muchos casos, fue abordado con miras muy concretas y limitadas. En cualquier caso y gracias a ello, contamos con un corpus interesante para los casos españoles. Sin embargo, si pasamos a observar la historiografía cofradiera en Indias hallaremos un conjunto de publicaciones muy reducido durante buena parte del siglo XX. Sólo en las últimas décadas se ha producido un avance importante en estos estudios americanistas y desde este progreso contamos con una base para continuar las investigaciones de esta faceta de la historia de las religiones.	es
dc.description.abstract	The study of the brotherhoods during the Modern Age in the Hispanic Monarchy has been a historiographical subject with twists and turns. In the Iberian Peninsula, scientific production has been linked, almost inextricably, to exercises of "local history". Therefore, in many cases, it was approached with very specific and limited views. In any case and thanks to this, we have an interesting corpus for Spanish cases. However, if we look at the brotherhood historiography in Latin America we will find a very small set of publications for much of the 20th century. In the last decades has there been an important advance in these Americanist studies and from this progress, we have a basis to continue investigations of this facet of the History of religions.	es
