dc.description.abstract	Se ha especulado mucho acerca de la acción represiva de Diocleciano hacia la comunidad cristiana y sobre los innumerables motivos que pudieron provocar que la llevara a cabo. No obstante, observando la escasa unanimidad en cuestiones trascendentales sobre este suceso histórico de la Antigüedad Tardía, he creído necesario realizar un revisionismo, que extraiga algo de luz dentro de tan grande oscuridad. Por ello, en este trabajo se abordarán, primero, los motivos persecutorios que pudieron llevar al augusto a combatir duramente al cristianismo; segundo, los posibles instigadores de este gran suceso persecutorio de la historia del cristianismo primitivo; tercero, una reconstrucción legislativa de los cuatro edictos de persecución emitidos por la administración imperial entre los años 303 a 311, y, por último, y en cuarto lugar, un análisis de los efectos sangrientos y crueles de las políticas anticristianas del Imperio, aportando, para ello, nombres de mártires ilustres, los cuales entregaron sus vidas en defensa de la fe.
dc.description.abstract	There is much speculation about Diocletian's repressive action towards the Christian community and about the innumerable motives that could have provoked him to carry it out. However, observing the lack of unanimity on transcendental questions about this historical event of Late Antiquity, I have thought it necessary to carry out a revisionism, that would shed some light on such a great darkness. For this reason, this work will focus, first, on the La Razón Histórica, nº54, 2022 [69-84]. ISSN 1989-2659. © IPS. Instituto de Política social 70 persecutory motives that could have led to Diocletianus to fight Christianity fiercely; second, on the possible instigators of this great persecutory event in the history of early Christianity; third, a legislative reconstruction of the four edicts of persecution issued by the imperial administration between 303 and 311, and, fourth, an analysis of the bloody and cruel effects of the Empire's anti-Christian policies, with the names of illustrious martyrs, who gave their lives in defense of the faith.
