Abstract
En este artículo se pretende profundizar en el problema
del estrés laboral docente a través de la revisión de los
siguientes aspectos: la relación existente entre estrés
negativo y «burnout»; el procesamiento cerebral de las
emociones negativas; los síntomas y los factores
generadores del estrés; los trastornos psicofisiológicos
derivados del estrés negativo y, por último, el modo
apropiado de afrontar este. Finalmente y a modo de
conclusión, se defiende la necesidad de formar a los
futuros docentes desde su formación inicial en
competencias emocionales, con el objetivo no sólo de
prevenir el «burnout», sino también de aumentar su
bienestar subjetivo.
This article tries to go deeper into the problem of stress caused by work while teaching though the revision of the folowing aspects: the existing relationship between negative stress and «burnout»; the cerebral processing of negative emotions; the symptoms and the factors that generate stress; psichophysiological disorders that derive from negative stress, and lastly, the appropriate way to cope whith them. Finally and by way of a conclusion, I defend the need to educate future teachers in emotional competences from the very beginning of their studies, with the aim of not only preventing teachers from soffering «burnout», but also increasing their subjective welfare.
