Abstract
Nous essayerons de donner ici une réponse à la question de l’absence de traductions et de rééditions de Smarra en Espagne. Les fondements de notre hypothèse reposent sur l’appartenance générique du texte. Smarra participe du mélange générique qui va surtout toucher le récit narratif court au XIXe siècle. Nous considérons qu’il s’agit de la cause principale du désintérêt éditorial pour Smarra face aux textes de facture plus classique.
Here we will try to account for the lack of translations and reissues of Smarra in Spain. Our hypothesis is based on the generic classification of the text. Like many short narrative works in the nineteenth century, Smarra combines different genres. We consider this to be the main cause of publishers’ lack of interest in Smarra compared with more classical texts
