dc.description.abstract	El artículo analiza la epístola nuncupatoria como paratexto característico del mecenazgo literario en los siglos XV y XVI, examinando su función en el proceso de legitimación y circulación de libros durante la expansión de la imprenta. Se estudia su papel como dedicatoria dirigida a un mecenas, destinada a situar la obra dentro de redes de protección institucional y prestigio social. A partir del análisis de la epístola nuncupatoria en la obra médica de Luis de Lemos, se observa cómo este recurso refleja las relaciones entre autor y patrono, la profesionalización del libro y las estrategias empleadas para garantizar su recepción pública. El trabajo aporta una aproximación histórica y textual que permite comprender la epístola nuncupatoria como instrumento de negociación simbólica y como parte integrante de la cultura editorial renacentista.	es
dc.description.abstract	Abstract: This article examines the nuncupatory epistle as a paratextual element within the literary patronage system of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, focusing on its function in the legitimation and circulation of books during the expansion of printing. It studies its role as a dedicatory text addressed to a patron, intended to position the work within networks of institutional protection and social prestige. Through the analysis of the nuncupatory epistle in the medical work of Luis de Lemos, the article shows how this paratext reflects the relationship between author and patron, the professionalization of the book, and the strategies employed to ensure its public reception. This study provides a historical and textual approach that reveals the nuncupatory epistle as an instrument of symbolic negotiation and as an integral component of Renaissance editorial culture.	en
