Description
Abstract
Los ponderales son una fuente de
información escasamente valorada por los
investigadores
.
The weight objects are a source of information that is scarce valued by researchers. For this reason, we decide to analyse a group recovered in El Raso de Candeleda (Ávila), not only from a metrological perspective, but we include an archaeological, formal and material perspective. From its analysis we try to identify the commercial operation pattern of this settlement in the pre-Roman period: weights systems used, commercial and cultural connections, the purpose of the weights, etc. To achieve this goal, apart from analysing each object recovered in this Meseta hillfort, also we compared these with other documented in other sites of the Iberian Peninsula.
