Description
Abstract
Discussing about the end of history, of art or of philosophy has become a common and fruitful activity in the philosophical historiography of the last decades. The present paper analyses the origin, relations and implications of those theories, being its axis the Hegelian philosophy, which is interpreted as a performative thought. The main thesis is that Danto’s «end of art» is nothing but a further manifestation of the widespread metaphilosophical topos of the end of history and of philosophy
