Abstract
Mediante recolecciones en 61 localidades, se estudia la flora briofítica del Valle del Genal (Málaga, España). Un total de 154 taxones
componen la diversidad briofítica del territorio, de los cuales 131
son musgos, 21 hepáticas y 2 antocerotas. Cephaloziella calyculata (Durieu & Mont.) Müll. Frib. y Geheebia erosa (J.A. Jiménez & J.
Guerra) J.A. Jiménez & M.J. Cano se citan por vez primera de Andalucía. Acaulon mediterraneum Limpr. y Pohlia annotina (Hedw.)
Lindb. son novedades para la flora de Málaga. Se describen las
principales comunidades de briófitos del territorio, atendiendo a su
comportamiento ecológico y hábitat.
