Resumen
Se presenta un análisis de la producción científica y
grado de colaboración de las profesoras del Área de
Biblioteconomía y Documentación en comparación
con los profesores. Para ello, una vez localizados los
nombres de las profesoras y profesoras del área
realizamos búsquedas en la Base de datos ISOC y el
análisis de los resultados señala el 42% del total de la
producción científica (2169 trabajos) pertenece a
mujeres; mientras que su grado de colaboración
científica se sitúa en el 53,6%. Si bien en el área de
Biblioteconomía y Documentación hay un mayor
número de profesoras (54,1%) la producción científi-
ca es menor a la de los hombres.
Abstract This job is the result of an analysis of the scientific production and degree of collaboration of female professors of Librarianship and Information Science in Spain. For it, once located the names of female professors and men professors, we realized a set of searches in the ISOC database. The analysis of the results indicates 42% of the total scientific production (2169 documents) belongs to women, while their degree of scientific collaboration stands at 53.6%. While in the area of Information Science is a greater number of females (54.1%) scientific production is lower than that of men.
