Abstract
Actualmente, la demanda tur íst ica exige que sean creados
productos at ract ivos que respondan a di ferentes modal idades, en pro
de diversi f icar la ofer ta tur íst ica; por lo que el aprovechamiento de
las potencial idades geotur íst icas es una meta a cor to plazo. La
presente invest igación t iene como f inal idad diseñar un producto
tur íst ico en el municipio Gibara que mues t re el valor cient í f ico,
histór ico, didáct ico y estét ico de estos geosi t ios, para diversi f icar la
ofer ta tur íst ica. Se empleó parcialmente una metodología
est ructurada por 4 fases: preparación, diagnóst ico, creación del
producto e implementación y cont rol . Los at ract ivos tur íst icos que se
tendrán en cuenta para el desar rol lo del producto son: los Colgadizos
de Gibara, el paraest ratot ipo de la Formación Gibara, la cueva de los
Panaderos, el cenote Cr istal i tos de Papaya, el museo de Histor ia
Natural y el mi rador de Gibara. El producto tur íst ico l leva como
n omb r e “ Ruta geoturísticade Gibara ” .

The purpose of this research is to design a tour ist product in the municipal i ty of Gibara that shows the scient i f ic, histor ical , didact ic and esthet ic value of these geo si tes, in order to diversi fy the tour ist of fer . The methodology that was par t ial ly used was st ructured by 4 phases: preparat ion, diagnosis , creat ion of the product and implementat ion and cont rol . The tour ist at t ract ions that wi l l be taken into account for the development of the product are: the Gibara Overhangs , the para -st ratotype of the Gibara Format ion, the Bakers ' Cave, the Cr istal i tos de Papaya cenote, the Natural History Museum and the Gibara lookout point. The tourism product is called "Geotourism Route of Gibara".
