Description
Abstract
Abstract: the aim of this paper is to reveal the structural nature of the process of normalization of exception that has been taking place after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. We hold up that this is not a contextual phenomenon, but a result of the structural logic of modern politics. With this purpose we turn to Roberto Esposito´s communitas-immunitas dialectic, by which we also intend to explain the connection between life and power (biopolitics). This concepts are put into practice in order to explain the connection between norm and exception both in their modern main theoric and institutional manifestations. Our aim is to contribute to diagnose the normalization of exception process in our contemporary world order.
