Abstract
El presente trabajo representa un aporte inicial al estudio de las dinámicas sociales y
políticas que fueron producidas por la Revolución de Mayo. Las mismas permitieron la
creación de nuevos espacios que promovieron la participación política de hombres que
abandonaron sus actividades y profesiones para dedicarse a trabajar en pos de los objetivos
revolucionarios. Su coyuntura les impuso la adquisición de nuevas tareas y funciones, a la
vez que debieron sufrir exilios políticos. Los casos de Pedro José Agrelo y de Vicente Pazos
Silva demuestran esta dinámica mientras permiten analizar los giros en la posición política de
ambos, en función de los cambios de contextos y la manera en que estos alteraron sus vidas
y oficios tradicionales.
This work represents an initial contribution to the study of social and political dynamics that were produced by the May Revolution. They allowed the creation of new spaces that promoted political participation of men who left their professions to engage in revolution and whose situation imposed the acquisition of new tasks and functions, as well as political exiles had to suffer. Cases of Pedro José Agrelo and Vicente Pazos Silva demonstrate this dynamic as to analyze the transformations of political thought of both, depending on the changes of contexts and how these altered their lives and traditional crafts.
