Description
Abstract
Anodic methoxylation of acenaphthene in methanol-CHaONa is reported.
The main producís obtained were: 1-methoxyacenaphthene, 4-methoxyacenaphthene
and acenaphthylene. The last compound shows the
participation of a carbonum ion intermedíate in the reaction.
