Abstract
El trabajo expone en primer las tres etapas en que se puede dividir el abastecimiento de agua a las instalaciones militares de Cartagena: A) desde los Reyes Católicos hasta Carlos II; B) desde el 1700 hasta 1945 y C) a partir de la inauguración del Trasvase del Taibilla. Y describe a continuación los aljibes más notables de las fortificaciones de la plaza.
The paper fi rst shows the three periods in which the military facilities’ water supply can be explained: A) from the Catholic Monarchs to Charles II; B) from 1700 to 1945 and C) after the Water Transfer of Taibilla. Afterwards the paper describes the most representative water containers («aljibes») in the castles.
