Abstract
Dentro del Flamenco, el grupo de cantes sin guitarra –tonás, martinetes, carcelera y debla– constituye uno de los grupos más singulares y de mayor personalidad. Poco estudiados, tienen claros antecedentes en cantos populares anteriores y hoy casi perdidos; como numerosos cantos de trabajos –trilla, siembra, siega–, romances, nanas y saetas antiguas. El estudio musical de estos cantos populares revela claras semejanzas en su estructura, forma estrófica y melodía con los flamencos.
The group of styles without guitar –tonás, martinet es, carcelera and debla–, is one of the most singular and personal groups within Flamenco. Little studied, these styles have evident antecedents in other popular and rare singi ngs; like work songs –threshing, sowing, riping–, ballads (Spanish romances), lullab ies and old saetas. The musical study of this popular music reveals similar structures, p oetry forms and melodies respect the flamenco forms
