Abstract
La intención de esta comunicación es aportar algunas reflexiones sobre las relaciones mantenidas entre los otomanos, los berberiscos de Argel y los moriscos granadinos durante la guerra de Alpujarras en los tiempos del rey Felipe II. Se trata de constatar de qué manera, en un ambiente de hostilidad y conflicto entre las dos orillas del Estrecho, tres importantes ciudades mediterráneas (Estambul, Argel y Granada) mantuvieron relaciones muy intensas durante el periodo que perduró la guerra de Granada (1568-1570).
The aim of this paper is to provide some reflections on the relationships between the Ottomans, the Berbers of Algiers and the Moors of Granada during the War of Alpujarras in the days of King Philip II. It is to note how, in an atmosphere of hostility and conflict between the two sides of the strait, three major Mediterranean cities (Istanbul, Algiers and Granada) maintained very strong relationships during the period of the war of Granada (1568-1570).
