Con la denominación “era pompeyana” se indica una serie de eras cívicas de Oriente Próximo que en mayor o menor medida se relacio nan con la estancia de Cn. Pompeyo Magno durante la Tercera Guerra Mitridática, en la década de los años 60s del siglo I a.C., especialmente en la región de la Decápolis. Discusión sobre la cronología, origen y extensión sobre estas eras calendáricas. Nuevas teorías.
The denomination “Pompeian era” indicated a series of civic eras from the Middle East that relate to the stay of Cn. Pompey the Great during the Third Mithratic War, in the decade of the 60s of the 1st century B.C., especially in the region of the Decapolis. Discussion about the chronology, origin and extension of these calendar eras. New theories.
