dc.description.abstractEl artículo presenta una breve aproximación a las trompetas de aspiración, una categoría de aerófonos poco conocidos y difundidos, pertenecientes a la familia de las trompetas naturales y con presencia entre pueblos indígenas de Eurasia y las Américas. El texto, basado en una amplia revisión documental, provee definiciones organológicas, realiza un breve recorrido por los instrumentos euroasiáticos, y se concentra particularmente en describir, de manera somera, los tres ejemplos de este tipo de aerófono identificados en América Latina: el toxacatl de México, la trompeta de los Aché de Paraguay y el ñolkiñ de los Mapuche de Chile. Dado el evidente retroceso que han sufrido tanto esos tres instrumentos como sus repertorios, se concluye que una mayor investigación y, sobre todo, una adecuada divulgación de sus sonidos y posibilidades, podrían servir de ayuda para su supervivencia a largo plazo.es
dc.description.abstractThe article presents a brief approach to sucked trumpets, a category of little-known and widespread aerophones, belonging to the natural trumpets' family, with presence among indigenous peoples from Eurasia and the Americas. The text, based on an extensive bibliographic review, provides organological definitions, take a brief tour among the Eurasian instruments, and focuses particularly on briefly describing the three examples of this type of instrument identified in Latin America: the toxacatl of Mexico, the trumpet of the Aché of Paraguay and the ñolkiñ of the Mapuche of Chile. Given the evident setback that these three instruments and their repertoires have suffered, it is concluded that further research and, above all, an adequate dissemination of their sounds and possibilities, could help their long-term survival.es
