Description
Abstract
Miguel Delibes explores the inability of the subject to develop a vital project in a hostile environment. In The Heretic , wi th the death of Cipriano Salcedo, Delibes writes a categorical conclusion: the fire as a symbol of the imbalance of power between the individual and its environment. To explain its marginalization, critics have pointed to the attitude of the protagonist wi th its environment. But - in his social denunciation - Delibes looked for the cause of this exclusion on the characteristics of that environment: disabling, for unsolidary and frivolous
