Abstract
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo medir y analizar la situación actual del turismo cultural en Escocia, mediante un análisis de la oferta turística cultural y las políticas de gestión que se han llevado a cabo y que se prevén para el futuro por parte de la administración pública. Además, en este estudio intentaremos establecer una serie de conclusiones sobre cuál es la auténtica situación del turismo cultural en Escocia, y para ello, en nuestra investigación obtendremos información a través de diversos medios de documentación, incluyendo además entrevistas con agentes de la administración pública del turismo en Escocia.
Finalmente, intentaremos medir estadísticamente el impacto del turismo cultural en la economía local, así como sus perspectivas y planes de crecimiento en un futuro próximo.
This paper aims to measure and analyze the current situation of cultural tourism in Scotland, through an analysis not only of tourist cultural offer and political management that have been carried out but also of plans that are expected in the future by the public administration. In addition, this dissertation attempts to establish some conclusions about the real situation of cultural tourism in Scotland. To this end, in our research we obtain the information through various sources of documentation, also including interviews with agents of public administration of tourism in Scotland. Finally, we try to statistically measure the impact of cultural tourism in the local economy and its prospects and growth plans in the near future.
