Description
Abstract
indirectas.
We raise in this research various questions about the geographic information provided by Humboldt on his trip to New Spain, influencing the data relating to the scope of the Internal Provinces and their cartographic developments, with the appropriate corrections in astronomical measurements and the situation of some key places; the additional details of hydrography and orography allowed the Prussian sage to outline his own maps on the Mexican Septentrion, in a commendable task, because due to the relative brevity of his stay in the viceroyalty the cartographic work was based (unlike in Venezuela) on the reading and correction of indirect references.
