Description
Abstract
La historiografía de la lingüística
se ha constituido en diversas etapas,
según el paradigma que seguían los historiadores. Muestra
s
de esas etapas
son el texto comparatista
Historia de la lingüística
de Vilhelm Thomsen de
1902, la obra estructuralista
Breve historia de la lingüística
de Rob
ert H.
Robins (1967/1997) y la publicación hermenéutica
La búsqueda de la
lengua perfecta
“The guide and the memory of modern linguistics. Sources of historiography in the figure of Francisco Rodríguez Adrados”. The historiography of linguistics has been constituted i n different stages, according to the paradigm followed by historians. Samples of these stages are the comparative text History of Linguistics , by Vilhelm Thomsen in 1902, the structuralist work A short history of linguistics by Robert H. Robins (1967/1997) and the hermeneutical publication Umberto Eco's The search for the perfect language (1993). In Spanish linguistic historiography highlights Francisco Rodríguez Adrados, philologist of ancient Greek, for his extensive production on history in areas of clas sical languages, Indo - European and linguistics. The interest of the figure of Rodríguez Adrados lies in the interdisciplinarity of his studies and in the contribution to bionarrative historiography. Bionarrative historiography conceives biographical and au tobiographical accounts as relevant sources of contemporary linguistic research, in which information about agents, lived episodes and assumed paradigms is discovered.
