Abstract
Este artículo es un resumen de los aspectos metodológico y de resultados de una tesis doctoral estructurada y realizada para demostrar el tratamiento, siempre
exquisito, que la prensa otorgó al internacional actor español Francisco Rabal
(Águilas (Murcia) 1926 – Burdeos (Francia) 2001.
Es un análisis de contenidos periodísticos procedentes de una vasta documentación
hemerográfica, siguiendo métodos de investigación social de carácter cualitativo,
descriptivo e interpretativo, y teniendo muy en cuenta, además, la importancia
extrema de la comunicación no verbal y el valor de lo icónico.
Las dos aportaciones más importantes de la investigación y sus análisis
individualizados son, por una parte, el diseño de una metodología que conjuga
periodismo y sociología, y, por otra, de demostración del reconocimiento artístico y
cariño personal que Francisco Rabal -procedente de la nada y convertido en leyendarecibió siempre de la prensa, cuyo poder e influencia social acabaron ubicándolo en la categoría de mito.
ABSTRACT: This article is a summary of the methodological aspects and the results of a doctoral thesis structured and madding for showing the always exquisite processing that the journalists awarded to the Spanish international actor Francisco Rabal (Águilas Murcia) 1926 – Burdeos (Francia) 2001). It’s an analysis of journalistic contents, accrudings of and incredible hemerographic documentation, according to social research methods with qualitative character, projective and interpretative, and also, taking into account the extreme importance of the no verbal communication and the value of iconic things. The two more contributions of the investigation and his individual analysis are, in one hand, the methodological design that includes journalism and sociology and, in the other hand, the artistic showing and the special affection that Francisco Rabal- from scratch and become into a legend- always received from the journalists, whose power and social influence, located him in the myth category
