Description
Abstract
Nowadays, the knowledge of national and cultural features in the use of linguistic units acquires special importance. The Russian linguistic school of Ibero-American Studies develops the research in a new aspect: the intravariant dialectology of Spanish. It analyzes the peculiarities of the dialects that arise from the national Latin American variants outside the territory of the origin country and under the impact of the language of the host country, English, in the context of its interstructural, cultural and idiosyncratic parameters. This essay focuses on some specific phonetic, lexical and grammatical features of Cuban American Spanish in Miami, Florida.
