Description
Abstract
Abstract: The article examines the relationship between language, power, and literature in the context of literary avant-gardes, politics, and psychoanalysis. It argues that language is a social construct with implicit norms restricting speakers, leading writers to subvert it as a means to challenge social and political orders. Barthes views language as inherently authoritarian, while Soviet Marxism reduces it to a functional tool. The debate focuses on whether language can be politically transformed or only literarily, addressing social power and the "power of the signifier."
