Description
Abstract
La narrativa argentina de los años noventa
copó el mercado literario
hispanoamericano
con una serie de textos indiciarios de un viraje estético
sin precedentes
en el que la hibridación, la
inadecuación
genérica, la
recodificación
literaria de los
mass
media
,
la
inoper
atividad del binomio
culto/pop y el fragmentarismo epistemológico
constituyen una novedad
productiva
de amplio alcance
.
La entrada en escritura de Fresán con
Historia argentina
es una apuesta firme por
ese modelo
narr
ativo
posgenérico y experimental
imbricado en una línea estética generacional
afterpop. La complejidad estructural
del texto
, como ha sido anotado,
rehúye la adscripción a cualquier modelo genérico tradicional. Mi propósito,
sin embargo, no es tanto
demora
rme en
la naturaleza seriada de la obra,
como
en
su realización formal en unos cue
ntos que zapen y
canibalizan el
imaginario pop, en la estela de una
propuesta
afterpop, o lo que, no sin
precaución, yo he
dado en denominar
una poética
zapeadora
Argentinian fiction captured the Latin American literary market in the 1990s with a series of detailed texts of unprecedented beauty and reach. The vagueness of the genre, the li terary recodification of the mass media, the ineffectiveness of the cult/pop binate and the epistemological fragmentation combined to form a new litera ry product with a broad scope. Fresán’s ‘Historia Argentina’ is a strong first venture into this post - gen re narrative model. It is an experimental text, interwoven with a generational aesthetic o f ‘after - pop’ or ‘avant - pop’. The structural complexity of the text, as has been noted, does not allow for its consignment to a traditional genre. My proposal is no t just to recall the sequential organisation of the work, but to show its materialisation in the stories which savagely harvest from the ‘pop’ imagination. This comes in the wake of the notion of ‘afterpop’ or that which, quite deliberately, I have called a poetic zapping or channel hopping poetry
