Abstract
En este artículo se pretende esbozar una reflexión sobre
algunas de las limitaciones que afectan actualmente a la
formación inicial de los maestros y maestras. Para ello nos
apoyamos en estudios e investigaciones, así como en
nuestra experiencia profesional, y enfocamos nuestra
mirada hacia el análisis de las siguientes temáticas: la
distancia que existe entre las demandas profesionales de los
maestros y las maestras y la formación que reciben en la
institución universitaria, la naturaleza del conocimiento que
los docentes usan en sus intervenciones prácticas, el papel
de los valores en la formación inicial y el perfil que ha de
poseer el formador de maestras y maestros.
This article aims at outlining a reflection on some of the limitations that currently affect teachers’ initial training. To do so, we relied on studies and research, as well as in our professional experience and focused on the analysis of the following issues: the distance between teachers’ professional demands and the training they receive at university, the nature of the knowledge that teachers use in their practical teaching, the role played by values in initial training and the profile that teachers’ trainers should have.
