Abstract
Este trabajo plantea el diagnóstico de los atractivos naturales y
paisajísticos de Villa del Mar, punto de partida indispensable para
poder planificar a la localidad como un destino turístico alternativo
a los ya tradicional es de la zona. Acompañado de un fuer te
componente de participación local, es una oportunidad para la
población de revalorizar sus recursos locales, otorgándole identidad
a la región y generando una opción laboral para todos sus
habitantes. La singularidad del paisaje hace que Villa del Mar sea un humedal de especial interés para proteger, conocer y disfrutar,
ya que es uno de los pocos ecosistemas cos teros naturales que aún
se conservan prácticamente intactos en el país.
ABSTRACT: This work presents the diagnosis of Villa del Mar's natural and landscape attractions, an indispensable starting point to enable the planning of the city as an alternative tourist destination to the already traditional ones in the area. Alongside with a strong local participation, it offers the community the opportunity to revalue its local resources, provi ding an identit y to the region and generating wor kplaces for its citizens. The uniqueness of the landscape makes Villa del Mar a wetland of ut most inter est to meet, enjoy and protect, since it is one of the few coastal ecosystems that are still practically untouched in the country.
