Abstract
En este trabajo se presenta el caso del cluster agroalimentario de la Región de Murcia, que constituye una de las mayores concentraciones geográficas de empresas del sector agrario y de la industria agroalimentaria de España, con las consiguientes ventajas de localización y de escala. las dinámicas de cooperación y/o rivalidad que se producen entre sus miembros y la presencia de industrias auxiliares y servicios avanzados le proporcionan importantes ventajas competitivas. la innovación en productos y procesos ha de ser el factor clave para el mantenimiento de su competitividad en los próximos años.
This paper presents agri-food cluster of the Murcia Region, which is one of the largest geographic concentrations of companies in agriculture and food industry in Spain, with the attendant advantages of location and scale. the dynamics of cooperation and/or rivalry that occur between its members and the existence of ancillary industries and advanced services provide significant competitive advantages to the cluster. Innovations in products and processes must be the key factor for maintaining competitiveness in the coming years.
