Abstract
Los contratos de obra son una pieza fundamental para el conocimiento de la Historia de la construcción.Aunque escasos, el caudal informativo que atesoran es enorme, de ahí que este tipo documental sehaya convertido en objeto de deseo para muchos especialistas interesados en esta incipiente línea deinvestigación. En el presente artículo nos aproximaremos a un ejemplar de excelente factura datadoa mediados de siglo XVI en la localidad sevillana de Morón de la Frontera, y que fue redactado conmotivo de la construcción de las carnicerías del IV Conde de Ureña en la villa. Lejos de cualquierpretensión conceptual o altura metodológica, este aporte presenta un perfil claramente divulgativo quepersigue poner a la pieza en su contexto y facilitar así al lector su correcta aprehensión.

Althoughscarce, works contracts possess a wealth of information, and that is why documents of this type havebecome an object of desire for many specialists interested in this emerging line of research. This workpresents an approach to an excellent copy of one of these documents, dated from the mid-sixteenthcentury in Morón de la Frontera. This document was drawn up on the occasion of the constructionof the butcheries of the 4 th Count of Ureña in the village of Morón. Far from any conceptual ormethodological pretension, this paper is of an informative nature, and aims to put the document incontext and thus provide the reader with its correct comprehension.
