Abstract
Estudio histórico de las Salinas desde la época cartaginesa, de donde proceden remotos vestigios de su existencia, que prosigue a través de la Romanización y de los arrendamientos medievales, perfilándose las Reales Salinas en los siglos XVII y XVIII como una propiedad de la Corona influyente hasta nuestros días en la vida social y económica de San Pedro del Pinatar.
A historic study of the salt ponds dating back to the Carthagian era, of which some traces of existence have been found, which continues through the romaniza-tion and medieval renting, giving way to the Royal Salt Ponds ot the 17th and 18thcenturies as property of the Crown which has been infl uential in San Pedro del Pinatar’s present day social and economic life.
