dc.description.abstractEn este artículo analizamos el concepto de performance para Diana Taylor, que considera como una lente epistémica y metodológica para estudiar prácticas culturales en las que el cuerpo es el medio principal de transmisión y transferencia de conocimientos, saberes, afectos, identidad y memoria so-cial, resignificando y reutilizando el pasado entremezclado con el presente y lo colectivo. De tal mane-ra que la performance no existe si no es a través de un cuerpo, de un sujeto que elabora un discurso, una historia, una narrativa, de lo que le rodea en su contexto sociocultural, y de lo que encuentra en su interior más profundo, lo cual, a su vez, es un acto político. Concluimos que Taylor ofrece una noción de performance que ofrece tanto la materialización del proceso creativo, como un potencial de subver-sión, al activarse en la intersección entre estética y activismo. Trata de conductas y prácticas que atra-viesan el género, la etnicidad, la ciudadanía, así como actos de resistencia y desobediencia, actividades que diariamente son reproducidas y ensayadas en la esfera pública
dc.description.abstractIn this article we analyse the concept of performance for Diana Taylor, which she considers as an epis-temic and methodological lens to study cultural practices in which the body is the main means of transmission and transfer of knowledge, knowledges, affections, identity and social memory, resigni-fying and reusing the past intermingled with the present and the collective. In such a way that perfor-mance does not exist if it is not through a body, through a subject that elaborates a discourse, a histo-ry, a narrative, of what surrounds it in its socio-cultural context, and of what it finds in its deepest interior, which, in turn, is a political act. We conclude that Taylor offers a notion of performance that offers both the materialisation of the creative process, as well as a potential for subversion, by activat-ing at the intersection between aesthetics and activism. It deals with behaviours and practices that cut across gender, ethnicity, citizenship, as well as acts of resistance and disobedience, activities that are daily reproduced and rehearsed and the public sphere
