Abstract
Este artículo se ocupa del estudio de un fragmento epigráfico, conocido desde hace años, pero considerado como desaparecido, procedente del área de la catedral de Tarragona. Corresponde a una inscripción honorífica de un emperador de inicios del siglo IV. Su reciente localización en los almacenes del Museo Diocesano permite aportar nuevos datos sobre la pieza, principalmente en lo que respecta a sus características formales y materiales. También se trata sobre el contexto original de la inscripción y su relación con otros ejemplares coetáneos.
This article studies an epigraphic fragment from the area of the cathedral of Tarragona. It had been known for years but was considered missing. It is an honorary inscription of an emperor of the early fourth century. Its recent location in the warehouses of the Diocesan Museum allows to provide new data about the piece, mainly about its formal and material characteristics. The article also discusses the original context of the inscription and its relationship with other honorary monuments of the same period.
