Description
Abstract
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to carry out a comparative analysis of the narratives of Armando López Salinas and Wang Shiyue, two writers respectively in Spain and China who share many similarities both in their careers and in their literary creation. Both are self-taught writers and have experienced the process of achieving visibility from a subaltern place. Through an analysis of their representative works, including the shaping of protagonists, literary language, the construction of dualism and the formation of identity, we will look at the similarities and differences between the working-class narratives of these two countries which are seemingly distant.
