Description
Abstract
In 1577, François Le Tort published two compendia (in Latin and French) with extracts from Plutarch's Moralia, including the so-called Parallela minora, a compendium currently considered to be a pseudepigraph. Le Tort's treasures represent another stage on the simplification of the pseudoplutarchean work, but, at the same time, they enable its dissemination.
