Abstract
Este artículo reflexiona sobre un riesgo evidente de la reforma europea de la educación superior: subordinar sus propios fines al objetivo de lograr una economía altamente competitiva. Se analizan las coincidencias entre demandas para el aumento de la competencia y los pilares que sustentan la reforma universitaria: movilidad, cualificación versátil, formación continua, cooperación Universidad-Empresa, educación internacional atractiva, traslación del espíritu de competitividad. Se invita también a iniciar un debate sobre las consecuencias sociales de esta reforma.
This article comments on an evident risk of the European reform on Higher Education: the subordination of its specific purposes to the aim to achieve a highly competitive economy. The coincidences are analyzed between demands for the increase of competitivity and the props that sustain the university reform: mobility, versatile qualification, permanent learning, University-Business cooperation, attractive international education, removal of the spirit of competitivity. We also initiate a debate on the social consequences of this reform.
