Description
Abstract
A comparative study of normal and Down Sydrome babies shows that there are differences in their early cognitive development. These differences are evident not only in their cognitive possibilities and their object action but also in their interaction with adults. We assume that the type of tutoring is important and also that it must adjust to the baby's activity. This adjustement must be made in the representation of the baby and the task, and also on the baby's initiative for action. Thus, the importance of the individual in interaction is emphasized.
