dc.description.abstract	San Miguel Tolimán, es una comunidad indígena otomí situada en la región semidesértica del Estado de Querétaro, en México. Esta localidad compuesta por barrios familiares, refuerza su identidad a través de la tradición de los oratorios familiares, construidos del siglo XVIII al siglo XX. Estas capillas guardan en su interior, murales que reflejan la misión evangelizadora de la orden de San Francisco, así como parte de la cultura de los otomíes. El siguiente artículo abarcará las cuestiones que involucran la creación de una obra pictórica de este tipo. Los procedimientos, materiales y herramientas que se usan en la creación mural, serán presentados con la finalidad de entender los recursos y metodología utilizados por los autores de las pinturas. Un breve análisis pictórico desde las cuestiones técnicas, ayudará a comprender el estado de los murales otomíes.	es
dc.description.abstract	San Miguel Toliman, is an otomi indigenous community located in the semi-desert of Querétaro, in Mexico. This locality composed of family neighborhoods reinforces their identity through the tradition of family oratories, built from the 18th to the 20th century. These chapels keep inside, murals that reflect the evangelizing mission of the order of San Francisco, and a part of the otomi culture. This article will cover the issues that involve the creation of a pictorial work of this type. The procedures, materials and tools used in the mural creation will be presented with the objective of understanding the resources and methodology used by the authors of the paintings. A brief pictorial analysis from the technical, will help to understand the state of the otomi murals.	es
