Abstract
El presente artículo tiene por objeto el análisis de la documentación de
procedencia colegial ubicada en la Colección de Papeles Varios del Archivo
Universitario de Salamanca. Se trata esta de una colección documental de enorme
importancia por su interesante material inédito y que merece ser consultada para los
estudios históricos de los siglos XVI-XVIII. Tras analizar las diferentes
procedencias documentales que atesora la Colección se estudia de forma exhaustiva
el origen de los documentos colegiales. Así, se examinan sus unidades de
instalación, se realiza un estudio de las agrupaciones documentales jesuíticas y se
confecciona un análisiscronológico e idiomático de dichos documentos. Se concluye
con un diagnóstico sobre los contenidos y la importancia que tienen los documentos
para la investigación histórica. En definitiva, mediante la presente investigación
actualizaremos las fuentes para el estudio de los colegios mayores en los fondos
documentales y bibliográficos universitarios y en el contexto de la monarquía
hispánica de los siglos XVI-XVII, todo ello inscrito en un proyecto de
características más amplias sobre identificación y descripción de fondos en los
archivos universitarios.
ABSTRACT: The main aim of this article is the analysis of the documentation of colle origin located on the “Papeles Varios” Collection of Salamanca's University Archive. This documentary collection has a great importance due to its quite interesting unpublished materials and it deserves being consulted for historical studies on 16th to 18th centuries. After analysing the several documentary origins, the origin of College documentation is studied thoroughly. So its installation units are examined and a chronological and idiomatic analysis of those documents is built. We conclude with a diagnosis about the contents and the importance of these documents for historic research. In short, through this research we will update the sources for studying the College in documentary and bibliographic university batches and in the context of the hispanic monarchy of 16th to 17th centuries. This whole research is registered on a wider project about identification and description of batches in university archives
