dc.description.abstractNowadays, mathematics can be applied in different areas, however, many students have problems understanding and/or solving exercises on the topics covered in class, so teachers recommend the use of technologies for the teaching-learning process, either through social networks and/or more personalized tools. To help solve this problem, this article presents the development of a collaborative tool so that teachers can develop content together, with the purpose of improving student learning through the Design Thinking methodology. In the first stage (Empathize), teachers and students were surveyed to understand their needs. Then (Define and Ideate), a user profile and an interaction map were created to establish user characteristics. Thus, a high-fidelity prototype (Figma) and another software prototype were created with the support of development and usability experts and mathematics teachers. Once the collaborative tool was developed, two system usability tests were carried out, obtaining positive results related to ease of learning, memorability over time, satisfaction, error rate, and efficiency of use. This allowed for the inclusion of proposals for the creation of new complementary functionalities for the project.
dc.description.abstractEn la actualidad, las matemáticas pueden ser aplicadas en diferentes áreas, sin embargo, muchos de los estudiantes tienen problemas para comprender y/o resolver los ejercicios de los temas vistos en clase, por lo que los docentes recomiendan el uso de las tecnologías para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, ya sea a través de redes sociales y/o herramientas más personalizadas. Para ayudar a resolver este problema, en este artículo se presenta el desarrollo de una herramienta colaborativa, para que los profesores puedan desarrollar contenido en conjunto, con el propósito de mejorar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes a través de la metodología Design Thinking. En la primera etapa (Empatizar) se encuestó a los profesores y estudiantes para conocer sus necesidades, después (Definir e Idear) se realizó un perfil de usuario y un mapa de interacción para establecer las características del usuario, logrando así, realizar un prototipo de alta fidelidad (Figma) y otro de software con apoyo de expertos en desarrollo, usabilidad y profesores de matemáticas. Una vez desarrollada la herramienta colaborativa, se realizaron dos pruebas de usabilidad del sistema, obteniendo resultados positivos relacionados a la facilidad de aprendizaje, recuerdo en el tiempo, satisfacción, tasa de errores y eficiencia de uso. Permitiendo incluir propuestas para la creación de nuevas funcionalidades complementarias al proyecto.
