Abstract
Concha Méndez es una de las poetas distinguidas del canon poético del 27. Su
trayectoria biográfica y poética es imprescindible para entender la evolución de las
mujeres intelectuales del siglo XX. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo principal
acercarse a la segunda etapa de la poesía de Concha Méndez, más bien a dos
poemarios escritos durante el exilio: Lluvias enlazadas (1939) y Poemas. Sombras y
sueño (1944) que revelan inquietudes personalizadas y una madurez poética
apreciable.
Concha Méndez is a prominent poet from the ‘27 poetic movement in Spain. Her life and poetic career are crucial to understand the evolution of intellectual women in the Spanish 20th century. The main aim of this article is approaching the second stage of her poetry, focusing on two collection of poems written during her exile: Lluvias enlazadas (1939) and Poemas. Sombra y sueño (1944), which reveal personal concerns and a remarkable poetical maturity.
