dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo se pretende conocer la realidad eclesiástica del Campo de Cartagena entre los siglos XVI y XIX a través del estudio de los informes episcopales (visitas pastorales y relationes ad limina). Se comprueba que fue una zona con pocas parroquias pero esta falta fue suplida por la existencia de algunas ermitas dispersas por el territorio. En cualquier caso, el crecimiento demográfico será el hecho que determine la fundación de nuevas parroquias.
dc.description.abstractThis paper is intended to know the ecclesiastical reality of the Campo de Cartagena between the Sixteenth and Nineteenth Centuries through the study of the episcopal reports (pastoral visitations and relationes ad limina). It is proven that it was a zone with few parishes but the existence of some hermitages dispersed by the territory supplied this lack. Anyway, the foundation of new parishes took place with the demographic growth.
